Police are investigating the death of 34-year-old Jessica Howell in Mammee Bay, St. Ann. An ex-boyfriend has been named a person of interest.
A 34-year-old woman was found dead in Mammee Bay, St. Ann, on Saturday morning, prompting a murder investigation by police.
The deceased has been identified as Jessica Howell, otherwise known as "Nooks," a vendor from the Old Fort Bay community.
According to reports, Howell's body was discovered shortly before 5:00 a.m. along a dirt track in the community. Residents alerted the police, who responded to the scene and confirmed her death.

Investigators believe the killing may have stemmed from a domestic dispute involving Howell's former boyfriend, Conross Norris Hylton, also known as "Rasta" and "Spragga." Police have since named Hylton as a person of interest and are urging him to report to the nearest police station immediately.
Information reported by IRIE FM indicates that Howell's ex-boyfriend visited her residence during the early morning hours. An altercation reportedly developed between the two before the incident turned deadly.
Additional reports circulating on social media and from local vloggers allege that the relationship had recently become troubled. However, police have not publicly confirmed those claims, and investigators continue to examine all available evidence.
Authorities say the suspect reportedly left the area shortly after the incident in a grey Toyota Hiace bus.
Members of the community have expressed shock and sadness following Howell's death, with many calling for justice and greater awareness surrounding domestic violence.
The St. Ann's Bay Criminal Investigation Branch is leading the investigation and is working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the killing.
